Italian GP Sprint Race – 4th PlaceMaverick Viñales: “If I can firmly keep up with Ducati, I can have a good race” – MotoGP 2025

Final Adjustments and Strategy Ahead of the Main Race

Reflecting on what he called a “fantastic result,” Maverick Viñales remains committed to fine-tuning his riding style and performance, especially in the final corners, despite his confidence in the bike’s smooth handling and competitiveness in the early corners. Although he sees strength in using medium tires for the long race, he believes the keys to success will be a “good start” and “sticking with the Ducatis from the first lap.” With a careful yet aggressive approach, he is setting his sights on the podium.

Determination and Strategy for the Race

“It’s a fantastic result. It’s been a good weekend, but it’s important to keep working and to push at the right times. There’s no doubt that tomorrow holds a big opportunity. A good start, a solid first lap, staying on the right lines, and maintaining the pace will be crucial. Right now, I’m riding the bike smoothly, and that will be a big advantage in the long race.”

Adaptation to the Track and Recognizing Challenges

“I’m flowing well on this track. I feel really competitive in the early corners. I just want to improve a bit in the final corner. There are also small adjustments I want to make in my riding style. In long races, I tend to perform better with medium tires, but we’ll see how things go. The start is extremely important. If I can firmly keep up with the Ducatis from the first lap, I believe I can have a good race.”
