Strong Return for Morbidelli After Injury – Finishes 7th in Practice at Austrian GP | MotoGP 2025
Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) made a successful comeback at the Austrian GP, marking his first race back after missing the previous round in Brno due to a left shoulder injury. Focused on regaining his connection with the Ducati Desmosedici GP, Morbidelli started strong with P5 in FP1, and followed it up with a best lap of 1’28.696 in the afternoon session—earning him 7th overall and direct entry into Q2.
🗣️ Franco Morbidelli:
“I’m really happy to be back. It was a very positive day. This morning I could immediately confirm that there were no issues with my shoulder, which means the rehab over the summer break worked well.”
“In FP1, we started working on improving the feeling with the Ducati step by step, and I felt progress throughout the day.”
