Italian GP Sprint Race – 3rd PlaceFrancesco Bagnaia: “The issue of struggling in sprints still hasn’t been resolved” – MotoGP 2025

Disappointment for Bagnaia Racing in Front of Home Fans

Francesco Bagnaia did not hide his disappointment at being unable to meet the expectations of his home crowd. He analyzed that he lacked speed compared to the Marquez brothers, Marc and Alex, and recounted how each attempt to close the gap was hindered by front-end instability. Acknowledging the recurring issues in sprint races this season, he emphasized that the problems remain unresolved and stressed the need for early improvements. While aiming for another podium in tomorrow’s main race, he also voiced concern over front tire degradation and is placing hope in adjustments during the morning session.

Challenges and the Will to Improve

“I’m disappointed today. I really thought I could deliver better results for the fans, but I couldn’t. Marc and Alex had more speed. Every time I pushed to get closer, the front end would fold on me. Like in other sprints, the areas we need to improve are clear. We’re now in the middle of the season, yet the sprint issues remain unsolved. I want to find a solution.”

Concerns About Front Tire Wear and Outlook for Tomorrow

“When the tires are new, I get a good feeling. But once the front tire starts to drop, I really start to struggle. That’s the current issue. The goal for tomorrow is to be on the podium. That’s what I’m aiming for, though it won’t be easy. I hope to find some improvement in tomorrow morning’s session.”
