Ducati Lenovo Team – Argentina GP Preview
Following a triumphant opening round at the Thai GP, where the team secured victory, a double podium, and the lead in the standings, the Ducati Lenovo Team heads to the second round of the season: the Argentina GP. Termas de Río Hondo holds fond memories for Ducati, with Marco Bezzecchi claiming victory in 2023 as Ducati locked out the podium.
Marc Márquez: First Argentina GP with Ducati
Current championship leader Marc Márquez (37 points) will tackle his first Argentina GP aboard the Ducati Desmosedici GP. Márquez has an impressive record at Termas, claiming three previous victories and demonstrating his strength on this circuit.
After a flawless weekend in Thailand, Márquez is determined to carry that momentum into Argentina.
Marc Márquez
“I’m really happy to be racing in Argentina again. It’s a track where I’ve been fast in the past and one that I enjoy. In Thailand, we successfully applied the lessons learned from testing to the race, and that experience has given me a lot of motivation. I can’t wait to get back on the bike and start pushing again.”
Francesco Bagnaia: Targeting the Top
Bagnaia heads into the weekend third in the standings (23 points), after securing two third-place podiums in the opening round. Termas, known for its fast layout, typically suits the Desmosedici GP well. Bagnaia is focused on refining his performance to battle at the front.
Francesco Bagnaia
“It’s great to be back in Argentina. This fast track is well-suited to the Desmosedici GP. While we showed good speed and consistency in Thailand, it wasn’t perfect. We’ll work on the areas that need improvement to be even more competitive this weekend.”
