Ducati Lenovo Team Heads to Aragon GP – Marquez Targets More Points, Bagnaia Aims to Reignite Season at Special Venue

As MotoGP heads into Round 8 of the 2025 season, the Ducati Lenovo Team arrives at MotorLand Aragón, a technical circuit in Spain known for its 10 left-hand corners and rich Ducati history. The Desmosedici GP has claimed four victories at this track, including three consecutive wins over the past three seasons. From Casey Stoner’s triumph in 2010 to Francesco Bagnaia’s first win with Ducati in 2021, Enea Bastianini’s 2022 victory, and Marc Márquez’s dominant double win last year, Aragon has become a stronghold for the Italian manufacturer.

Marc Márquez – Leading the Standings and Seeking More at a Favorite Circuit

Currently leading the championship with 196 points, Marc Márquez has demonstrated remarkable consistency. Although he missed out on victories at Le Mans and Silverstone, he managed to navigate both races expertly, securing crucial points that have kept him at the top of the standings. Now heading into a venue that suits his style—especially with its many left-hand turns—Márquez is aiming to extend his lead and continue Ducati’s recent dominance at Aragon.

He also has his sights set on Monday’s official post-race test, where he’ll focus on key setup developments in preparation for the season’s second half.

Marc Márquez:
“I didn’t win the last two races, but I managed both situations well and earned important points. Aragon is a great track for me—it’s full of left-hand corners and fits my riding style perfectly. I’ve won here many times and always feel competitive, so the goal this weekend is to perform at our best and use Monday’s test to keep building toward the next races.”

Francesco Bagnaia – Hoping for a Turnaround at a Place of Personal Milestones

Third in the standings with 124 points, Francesco Bagnaia has endured a challenging stretch but sees Aragon as the ideal place for a resurgence. It was here in 2021 that he earned both his first-ever MotoGP victory and his first win with the Ducati Lenovo Team, following an iconic battle with Marc Márquez. With those memories in mind, Bagnaia is determined to regain his competitive edge at a track he calls a personal landmark.

Francesco Bagnaia:
“The last two races have been really tough, but I’ve kept working hard, and we’ll continue pushing this weekend at Aragon. This circuit is special to me—it’s where I got my first MotoGP win and my first win with Ducati Lenovo Team, after a memorable fight with Marc. I’ll be focused on getting that feeling back and rebuilding our momentum.”
