Marc Márquez Secures Pole Position at the Argentine GP
Marc Márquez of the Ducati Lenovo Team clinched pole position at the Gran Premio YPF Energia de Argentina. He set an astonishing lap time of 1:36.917, becoming the first rider in history to break into the 1:36 range at the Termas de Río Hondo Circuit. This marks his second consecutive pole position, a feat he last achieved in 2019.
Alex Márquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), Marc’s younger brother, secured second place, closely trailing the leader. Johann Zarco (CASTROL Honda LCR) took third, giving Honda its first front-row start since 2023. Zarco’s lap was narrowly behind Márquez, with a gap of just 0.042 seconds.
