Ducati’s Stronghold: Lusail Circuit
The Lusail track has long favored Ducati machinery, consistently bringing out the best in the Desmosedici GP. Since 2004, Ducati has taken eight wins at the circuit, including a dominant streak of three consecutive victories: Bastianini in 2022, Di Giannantonio in 2023, and Bagnaia in 2024.
Coming off a victory at the Americas GP, Bagnaia currently sits third in the standings with 75 points. As last year’s Lusail winner, he is eyeing back-to-back wins at a circuit where Ducati has found repeated success. He’ll be pushing from the first free practice to build momentum.
Marquez, meanwhile, was leading the race in Texas before a crash ended his run prematurely. Despite that, he has already racked up five wins (sprint + main races) and three pole positions in 2025—an impressive feat in his debut season with Ducati. While he only has one career win at Lusail, he’s determined to bounce back and keep his momentum alive.
Bagnaia: On a Mission for Back-to-Back Wins and the Title Fight
Francesco Bagnaia
“There’s no better feeling than jumping back on the bike right after a win. The sensations in Austin were great, and Lusail is a track that really suits the Desmosedici GP. We still have some areas to improve, but there’s a huge opportunity here.”
Bagnaia enters the weekend focused and hungry to close the gap in the championship—and reclaim the crown he’s held before.
Marquez: From Frustration to Redemption
Marc Marquez, currently second in the standings with 86 points, is using the frustration of his Austin crash as fuel for a comeback. With five wins already this season and a fast-growing connection with the Ducati, his adaptation in year one has been nothing short of stunning.
Marc Marquez
“It was heartbreaking to end a perfect weekend with a crash. But it was just a moment, and my mindset is already reset. Ducati is incredibly strong at this circuit, and we have everything we need to fight. The key will be to stay calm and focused, and I’m ready to bounce back.”
