Bezzecchi Claims First Win with Aprilia After Major Career Move: “Finally, I Was Able to Deliver a Result” – MotoGP 2025

Marco Bezzecchi celebrated a milestone victory at the 2025 British Grand Prix, marking his first win since moving to Aprilia. After choosing to leave his former team and embrace a fresh environment, Bezzecchi’s triumph was not only a return to the podium but also a powerful statement of progress and resilience. It was his first win since the 2023 Indian GP—609 days ago.

Now a factory rider, Bezzecchi reflected on the challenges of adapting to a new role and leading the development of the Aprilia machine. While pre-season testing was far from smooth, the Italian was confident in the bike’s potential and has seen steady improvement despite ongoing struggles in some areas.

Marco Bezzecchi:

“I’ve had a tough time in the past, and for this season I made a big change by choosing to race with Aprilia. It was a major shift, and I’m really happy to be back on the podium—especially because it came with a victory.

That silly dance after the win? It’s something we joked about with the team—just a ridiculous dance we saw together and thought would be fun.

This is my first time leading development in a factory role. We’ve tested a lot of parts and I’ve tried to be precise in everything I do. It wasn’t an easy pre-season, but I knew we had the speed. There are still areas where we’re struggling, but I really feel we’re moving forward.”

“The switch to Aprilia came at the right time. I needed change, and I really wanted to become a factory rider. Aprilia gave me that chance, and I grabbed it. Mentally, I haven’t changed anything—I’m just continuing the same work. Even in difficult situations, I never gave up. I’ve passed the point where I expected to get results, but finally, I’ve been able to deliver.”

“When times are tough, a lot of people start doubting you. That’s when it’s important to be around those who know what you’re capable of. Even I sometimes doubted myself. That’s why it’s so valuable to talk with your team, the Academy, and close friends. They help you stay focused.”
