Austrian GP Practice: Pedro Acosta Finishes 2nd – “Ducati Will Show Their Strength Again Tomorrow” | MotoGP 2025

Fired Up for KTM’s Home Race, Pedro Acosta Eyes Qualifying as Key – MotoGP 2025 Austrian GP

As the MotoGP paddock descends on KTM’s home ground at the Austrian GP, Pedro Acosta is drawing extra motivation from the presence of passionate fans and key figures from Red Bull and KTM. While he’s eager to introduce new parts tested recently in Aragon, Acosta remains realistic about the timing of their debut. At the same time, he’s wary of Ducati’s performance and isn’t underestimating the challenge ahead.

Pedro Acosta:

“It’s amazing to have Stefan Pierer and the Red Bull bosses here this weekend. There are so many KTM fans around—it gives me huge motivation. We’ve got new items in the pipeline, and hopefully we’ll get a look at them tomorrow morning.”

“We tested them in Aragon, and they felt really good. I’ve really been hoping to use them during one of the last four races. But sometimes, it just takes time to bring these things into a race weekend. Ducati will be strong again tomorrow, so we can’t afford to be optimistic without caution.”

“Normally, I struggle to find pace on the first lap, so we’ll see how things go. Qualifying is absolutely critical, and from there, we’ll set our expectations for the race.”
