Fought Through Overheating Issues to Finish the Race
Starting from 19th on the grid, Álex Rins made a strong push in the opening laps, climbing up to 14th place within the first five laps and holding onto a points-scoring position. However, as the race progressed, he gradually lost positions. On Lap 15, he was overtaken by Enea Bastianini but managed to stay in 15th due to Joan Mir’s crash on the same lap. Unfortunately, as his bike’s overheating issues worsened—leading to burns on his left leg—he struggled to maintain pace, ultimately finishing in 17th place.
Álex Rins’ Comments
“It was an extremely tough race. I already felt the heat during yesterday’s Sprint, but after Lap 7 today, it became unbearable. I even suffered burns on my left leg, and controlling the bike became really difficult in the closing stages.”
“Still, there were some positives—we made small improvements in cornering performance. I gave it everything I had, but with four laps to go, I lost the front at Turn 4, and from there, I was just trying to hold on.”
“This isn’t the result we were looking for, but we’ll analyze the data and work on improvements for the next race.”
