Qatar GP Practice – Fabio Quartararo Improves to 6th: “Satisfied with One-Lap Performance Today” – MotoGP 2025

After finishing 10th in the afternoon FP1 session, Fabio Quartararo went into the night practice at the Qatar GP with a clear focus: improve his one-lap pace. The Yamaha rider worked on setup throughout the session using used tires before switching to a time attack run late in the session.

Quartararo delivered on his goal, setting a best lap of 1’51.293 on his 19th of 21 laps, placing him 6th overall—just 0.463 seconds off the top time.

Fabio Quartararo:

“We targeted better one-lap performance for tonight, and I’m happy with the result. After working with used tires to get the setup right, we went for a time attack and managed to put in a strong lap late in the session.

There’s still work to do with race pace, but today was a positive step. We’ll keep pushing to be more consistent over the long runs.”

With qualifying and the Sprint ahead, Quartararo aims to carry this momentum into Saturday’s action and secure a strong starting position.
