Consistent Ride Secures 3rd – Franco Morbidelli Earns First Sprint Podium with New Team
Franco Morbidelli claimed a strong 3rd place in the sprint race, marking both his first sprint podium of the season and his first since joining the team. Starting from 4th on the grid, Morbidelli immediately joined the battle within the lead group and managed to hold a solid pace throughout, securing the final podium spot.
Franco Morbidelli:
“This podium is a really good result. At the start of the sprint, the feeling with the fresh tires was excellent—I felt like I could stay with the front group. But midway through the race, I started to have a few issues and couldn’t fully show my true pace. Still, to come away with a third-place finish is fantastic.”
“Valentino was here this weekend too, which made it even more special. Friday went well, and on Saturday we qualified fourth and had a consistent sprint race. I’m really looking forward to tomorrow.”
