
Spanish GP: Álex Márquez Breaks Into the 1’35s for the First Time in History, Tops Friday Practice
Álex Márquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) made history at the Spanish GP by breaking into the 1’35s range for the first time ever. With a stunning lap time of 1’35.991, he recorded the fastest time on Friday.
Second place went to Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team), who has won here three consecutive times, while the in-form Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) took third.
Championship leader Marc Márquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) finished fourth.
Following the top four, Fabio Quartararo came in fifth, and rookie Fermín Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) impressed by taking sixth at his home race in Spain. Johann Zarco finished seventh, followed by Pedro Acosta in eighth. Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) claimed ninth, and Joan Mir (Honda HRC Castrol) rounded out the top ten.
Brad Binder narrowly missed out on advancing to Q2 by just 0.055 seconds.
