Round 3: Americas GP – Álex Rins: “I Stayed Calm and Recovered After the Contact” | MotoGP 2025

Álex Rins (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) showed impressive resilience at the 2025 Americas Grand Prix, clawing his way back from last place to finish 11th after early-race contact dropped him to the tail end of the field. Despite the setback, Rins delivered a composed and determined ride, gaining valuable points and further refining his connection with the Yamaha M1.

From Contact to Comeback – Rins Fights Back

Starting from 14th, Rins made a strong launch and quickly climbed to 11th on the opening lap, slotting in behind teammate Fabio Quartararo. However, a collision with another rider shortly after saw him pushed all the way down to 21st. Undeterred, Rins mounted a steady recovery, overtaking the likes of Augusto Fernández and Raúl Fernández before settling into a lone run to the checkered flag, finishing just 24.256 seconds behind the race winner.

Álex Rins:
“We made a step forward this weekend in understanding both the bike and the setup. We improved in the warm-up, and even before the race started, we found something extra.

“The early contact pushed me to the very back, but I managed to stay calm and recover without rushing. That was important. I’ll keep working hard to deliver an even better performance in Qatar.”
