Aragon GP – Marco Bezzecchi: “I Want to Feel Competitive Again Here” – Ducati Still Sets the Pace
Marco Bezzecchi expressed joy at returning to form after a difficult stretch, having finally made it back to the podium — a result he had long been chasing. Speaking ahead of the Aragon GP, the Italian rider shared his satisfaction not only with the result but with the race performance and overall feeling on the bike. Looking ahead, he aims to once again feel the competitiveness of his Ducati and fight at the front.
Marco Bezzecchi:
“I’m happy to have come back from a tough period. I’d been longing for a podium for a long time, so it felt really good. The race itself was solid, and the bike felt great. Now I want to feel that competitiveness again here at Aragon and fight for the top positions.”
Bezzecchi reflected on the earlier part of the season, where despite showing decent speed during winter testing and the opening rounds, minor personal mistakes held him back.
“We had a decent level of competitiveness during the winter tests and the early races. Even at Jerez and Le Mans, we were there — but I was making small mistakes that cost us. Silverstone and Aragon are very different tracks, which adds a new challenge, but I want to show strong pace again.”
He also acknowledged the tricky nature of recent races:
“Le Mans and Silverstone were both tricky races. Silverstone wasn’t wet, but the strong wind made conditions difficult — no doubt about that. And even now, there are still six Ducati riders who remain very competitive. That hasn’t changed.”
Despite the ups and downs, Bezzecchi appears focused and motivated as he continues to regain momentum. With the Aragon GP offering another opportunity to demonstrate progress, he’s aiming to build on his recent resurgence and finish the season on a high.
