Pirelli Becomes the Official MotoGP Tire Supplier from 2027

MotoGP has announced that Pirelli will become its official tire supplier starting from the 2027 season. The new contract, currently in its final stages of negotiation, will run for five years until 2031. This marks the beginning of a new era, coinciding with the introduction of next-generation MotoGP machines and new technical regulations.

The continuation of a single-supplier system across Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP will ensure an ideal environment for young riders to step up to the premier class. Details regarding the specifications and allocation of the tires supplied by Pirelli will be announced in due course.

Pirelli already provides tires for Moto2, Moto3, and various categories within the “Road to MotoGP” program. From 2027 onwards, the company will expand its supply to include MotoGP and the MotoE World Championship for electric motorcycles.

Meanwhile, Michelin will remain the exclusive supplier for both MotoGP and MotoE until the end of the 2026 season. Over the next two seasons, Michelin will continue to offer technical support and cutting-edge products, ensuring the safety, performance, and excitement of top-level racing.

Furthermore, as a pioneer in electric motorcycle racing, Michelin will continue its involvement in MotoE in 2025 and 2026, advancing the development of innovative tires utilizing sustainable materials.
