Setup Improvements Needed

Álex Márquez approached the weekend with the same mindset as the previous Thai GP, emphasizing the importance of demonstrating speed immediately, even at a different circuit. He felt competitive even in the mixed conditions of the morning session and delivered solid performances in the afternoon on both medium and soft tires. Noting Marc Márquez’s impressive speed on the medium compound, Álex acknowledged the need to further refine his setup to close the gap to the leading riders.

“I came into this round with the same mindset as in Thailand, but it was important to show speed right from the start, even at a completely different circuit. We were competitive in the mixed conditions this morning, and I felt good in the afternoon on both medium and soft tires. Marc was very fast on the medium, so we’ll need to keep improving our setup to narrow the gap to the front riders.”
