Practice 6th Place – Álex Rins: “Advancing to Q2 is a Big Boost” – Argentina GP MotoGP 2025

Gathering Valuable Data

Álex Rins struggled with a lack of grip in FP1, finishing 12th. However, as more rubber was laid down on the track, grip levels improved. In the afternoon practice, Rins gained momentum towards the end, briefly climbing to third during his time attack. Following behind Marc Márquez, he ultimately set a time of 1’37.591, placing him 6th and just 0.296 seconds off the leader.

“Today turned out to be a good day. Securing a direct entry into Q2 is a big boost for the entire team. It wasn’t an easy day, but we gathered a lot of data while preparing for the sprint and main race. I hope we can discover something more for tomorrow. This bike has great potential, and there’s still room for improvement. Overall, I’m satisfied with how things went today.”
